Our tender and succulent Wicks Manor pulled pork recipe is great for any summer BBQ or any occasion celebrated with friends and family. We recommend serving with fresh green leaves, Asian slaw, apple sauce and sweet brioche buns.
Ingredients:
- 2kg of boneless pork, shoulder and skin removed
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Mustard power
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1 tsp Onion Salt
- 1sp brown sugar
- 2 cups of cider
Method:
Mix together the paprika, mustard powder, brown sugar and onion salt and rub all over the pork.
Put the pork in a big casserole dish, with the skin-side up, and pour in 2 cups of cider. Place a lid on top and cook in the oven at 150/160 for 5 hours. Check every hour to see if the pork is starting to fall apart.
After this time remove the pork from the oven and put the meat in a big dish. Cut the skin off, then shred the meat with two forks.
Serve with sweet brioche buns, Asian slaw salad, fresh garden salad and Bramley apple sauce.
